- Can the post/legs be bolted to the ground?
- Where does the rain water go?
1. Can the post/legs be bolted to the ground?
Yes, the legs do have feet on the bottom that can be used to surface mount the leg posts. However the main purpose of the suggested footing is to create enough mass around each post to ‘pin’ it down in high winds. Therefore anything you intent to bolt the canopy feet to must weigh equal or larger than our suggest footing. Also the footing creates lateral strength further up the leg, something dug into the ground is much harder to push over than something stood of the surface of the ground, the same applies to the canopy leg/posts. For these and other reasons our recommendation is always to dig a footing as suggested in our fitting guide.
